Frequentis was named runner-up in the Safety, Security & Resilience category of the Seamless Skies Awards. The project delivered a pioneering low‑altitude air picture and military uncrewed traffic management (UTM) capability to the German Armed Forces. The award recognises a breakthrough in how defence organisations can safely manage rapidly growing UAS (uncrewed aerial systems) activity while maintaining operational control in complex, dynamic airspace environments.

Frequentis C4i, as the original equipment manufacturer of the VOICE C2 communication system currently in use by the Royal Saudi Air Force, has signed a Memorandum of Intent (MOI) with SAMI L3Harris Technologies to explore collaboration on defence communication opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

• The first U.S. Department of Defense digital air traffic control tower is now live and in operation at the U.S. Army Garrison Katterbach in Ansbach, Germany
• Frequentis Defense’s contract with the U.S. Army delivers advanced digital tower capability with 4K and thermal cameras, radar integration, and enhanced situational awareness tools

The control room is centrally located, enabling controllers working on different scenarios to be co-located for better collaboration. As a digital solution, the system is enhanced by integrating data from sensors, cameras, and radar to create a 360-degree panoramic out-the-window view with visual and thermal imaging in all weather conditions. By replacing outdated binoculars with advanced pan-tilt-zoom cameras, air traffic controllers can significantly improve their ability to monitor the airspace and airfield, greatly enhancing situational awareness. Additionally, the digital information provided to the controller is recorded for after-action review and training purposes.

AIR6500 is the RAAFs multibillion-dollar plan for an integrated communication network promoting seamless operability and connectivity across sensors, weapons, jets, and warships to protect against threats. Lockheed Martin was selected to lead the project in late August 2023, contracting 10 leading-edge Australian companies to support this mission.

As a supplier to Lockheed, Australian defence company, C4i, a member of the Frequentis Group, will provide its secure VOICE C2 technology. This secure communication system acts as a bridge, linking operators, radios, and telephony across the RAAF's operations. This integration will enhance the RAAF's ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
