Abu Dhabi is going from strength to strength in aviation. Its international airport recently doubled its annual capacity to 45 million passengers, while Etihad Airways plans to double its fleet by 2030. 

To make this growth possible, and thereby unlock all the associated economic benefits for the country, Abu Dhabi Airports recognised that it would need to rethink its current operations and systems. Aiming to do more with less – including less environmental impact – the company has embraced the Advanced Automated Tower concept from Frequentis.
