Frequentis has reached a major milestone in enhancing Colombia’s defence capabilities by upgrading the FAC’s iSecCOM communication systems. The modernisation includes updates to the FAC’s air defence systems, along with half of all military air traffic control sites across the country. Colombia’s strategic location, bridging North and South America, makes it a key player in global defence and security.

Die Bundesanstalt für den Digitalfunk der Behörden und Organisationen mit Sicherheitsaufgaben (BDBOS) fördert in Deutschland im Rahmen der KoPa_45-Förderung des BMI wegweisende technologische Standards in der einsatzkritischen Breitband-Kommunikation. Frequentis ist an fünf geförderten Projekten beteiligt und arbeitet gemeinsam mit Partnern an spezifischen Forschungs- und Entwicklungsaktivitäten für mehr Sicherheit durch breitbandigen Digitalfunk.

• Frequentis introduces its LifeX3020 solution in Malaysia, improving emergency call handling across three key response centres and nationwide blue light agencies 
• The initiative replaces Malaysia's existing MERS999 system, improving emergency response times with 350 workstations and a unified incident management platform

The project involves the setup of 350 workstations across key emergency centres, backed by a robust infrastructure designed to enable rapid response across the nation. With the new platform, call takers will have enhanced tools to assess emergencies quickly and direct resources to the appropriate agencies without delay. This will significantly reduce response times, improving outcomes in critical situations.

• Frequentis technology enables the Hamburg fire brigade to respond swiftly and effectively during severe weather events
• An innovative voice response system allows for efficient prioritisation of emergency calls, significantly reducing response times                              

The Hamburg fire brigade is increasingly challenged by a temporary rise in emergency calls during extreme weather events. In total, the Hamburg fire brigade receives around one million calls per year. In crisis situations, such as severe weather conditions, the number of callers can rise significantly within a short period of time. With Frequentis' LifeX communication system, the organisation is better equipped to respond faster and more precisely during critical situations. This system is also used by the Hamburg police, functioning as the central communication platform in their control centres.

• IBM selected as supplier for major new network to connect emergency services communications
• As key-partner of IBM, Frequentis will deliver solutions for the Emergency Services Network (ESN)
• ESN will coordinate efforts and responses from frontline staff, making UK streets safer and delivering on the UK government’s Plan for Change
• 300,000 personnel will benefit from data, imagery, location reports, and voice communications 

Frontline emergency services will benefit from a new communications network (3GPP MCX services) that will modernise how they work together, as the UK government announces a new partnership with IBM following a series of delays by previous suppliers.

• Frequentis has been selected by Spanish COMSA Corporación to provide a Digital Tower system for Qaqortoq Airport, continuing their collaboration in Greenland’s wider airport modernisation efforts
• This project strengthens Frequentis' role in enhancing Greenland’s air traffic control infrastructure and expanding digital tower solutions for future remote operations

Frequentis has been awarded a contract by COMSA Corporación, the largest unlisted Spanish group in the infrastructure and engineering sector, to provide a Local Digital Tower solution for the new Qaqortoq Airport in Greenland. This project marks an important step in the modernisation of Greenland’s aviation infrastructure, enabling air traffic control (ATC) operations with advanced digital solutions that reduce the need for traditional tower infrastructure.

• The project replaced all voice communication and recording systems for Budapest with the current voice system used as a backup to increase resilience
• The upgrade included modernisation of both the main and contingency ACCs

The Hungarian Air Navigation Service Provider, HungaroControl, has chosen Frequentis’ VCS3020 to upgrade its existing voice communication solution (VCS) for all air traffic service units for Budapest Area Control Centre (ACC). The new main VCS has been duplicated, and the current system will serve as a backup for phone and radio communications within the upgraded solution. This setup allows integration of existing and new technologies, ensuring continuous operation and enhancing system reliability.
